Pastor

A unique feature of Christian Science church services is that we don’t have personal preachers.  On Sundays, two lay readers, elected by church members, conduct services by reading passages from the Bible and related passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.  These two books are the ordained Pastor of our denomination. Learn more.

Sunday Worship

Third Church of Christ, Scientist services are held in our beautiful Reading Room located at: 6470 N Oracle Rd • Tucson AZ 85704. Worship on Sundays is an hour long beginning at 9:30 am.  Services are visitor-friendly.  Come dressed as you feel comfortable.

Thanksgiving Day
9:30 am – 10:30 am (in-person and Zoom)

Communion Services
Communion is observed on the 2nd Sundays in January and July
9:30 am – 10:30 am. (in-person and Zoom)

Wednesday Testimony Meeting

The mid-week prayer meeting at 7:00pm is a gathering where we sing, pray, and listen to readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, on contemporary topics.  A major part of the meeting includes time for anyone to share healings and inspiration from their study of Christian Science.

Sunday School

  • Sunday School Classes are held every Sunday from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.
  • Classes range from preschool up to age 20 years.
  • Students study Bible stories, learn the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and Jesus’ parables.
  • Students discuss the weekly Bible lesson.
  • Students use the Christian principles learned in Sunday School to meet their daily family, school and relationship challenges while learning the fundamentals of Christian healing.
  • Through their Sunday School classes, students learn to become responsible, caring, morally strong young adults and citizens.

Contribute to Third Church Youth Fund
Our Youth Fund assists, as needed, registered students who wish to attend:

  • Christian Science camp programs.
  • Christian Science youth meetings.
  • Annual meetings at The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
